Should we live near our kids and grandchildren or should we live nearby and have lives of our own? This is the thinking of many people who are looking at Ashkelon who have children and grandchildren in Carmei Gat.

What is interesting is that the amount of 60+ parents in Carmei Gat is very small compared to the large number of parents with kids under 13, while Ashkelon has very few families with kids that age in the Marina/Afridar areas. So living in the same community (right now) is not a viable option. But, the distance between the two cities is very small and the drive is about 30 minutes. Making  Ashkelon an ideal community for the 60+ parents and Carmei Gat an excellent choice for their kids and grandchildren.

Ashkelon has lots of places for young enquiring minds to explore. From the three skateboard parks (one for each skill level) and pirate castle playground at Delilah Beach, the National Park (camping sites too) and the many beaches. Ashkelon is a place where the grandchildren will be eager to visit.
